Fokker F.I - S/N 1037/17
Fokker F.I piloted by Werner Voss in 1917
About this creation

The nose with a face painted on it: eyebrows, eyes and mustache

Upper view showing the green color and the German crosses

A right-rear view showing the fuselage

The panel showing the information about the plane

This new MOC shows the Fokker F.I with serial number 103/17 piloted by Werner Voss, another famous German ace, until he was killed in action on the 23rd of September 1917. It is based upon the same building than the Fokker Dr.I piloted by Manfred von Richthofen.

Quoting Scott Bourgeois Nice build, Eric. I've been waiting for this since Lego released the Sopwith Camel. I will definitely support this on Lego Ideas. 5/5!

Quoting Cameron Wilson Very nice! Looks a little big for minifigs though! =)
Thanks a lot! You're right, it is not at minifig scale. Some people have suggested me to build a figure at the correct scale (about 1:17), but I am not satisfied by my tests so far. Maybe a future update!

4/5. The plane is German, a design from the Dutch Anthony Fokker and the German Junker. Anthony Fokker went to germany before WWI and built a airplane factory there.

Quoting Gabor Pauler Very proportional design, nice shaping of the engine. I just do not understand why you did not cover all the wings with smooth tiles? Does it try to simulate canvas on wooden ribs?
Thanks a lot for your comment! Yes, indeed, I have tried to simulate the wing ribs with the slopes and tiles.

This is an amazing Tri-plane! Parts usage and color choice are spot on! Much respect for this MOC, you have done well. 5/5 much deserved.
