Story: Uira spent most of her years as a Matoran inhabiting a large village on the Northern Continent, consisting of Matoran from various elements. Because she was a Fe-Matoran, the only in the village, her role in the village mostly consisted of crafting weaponry and armor; although, her real passion lied in combat and engineering. During the time she wasn’t forging things for the armory, she was practicing her fighting skills or inventing new things.
One day, her village was attacked by a group of Rahi commanded by the Makuta Krahdtus. This invading force laid waste to the village, nearly destroying its entire infrastructure and killing most of its guard force. Luckily, Uira survived the attack. After the attack, she assisted in the rebuilding of the village and resumed rearming the village for another attack. In addition, the attack made Uira realize the need for a more powerful security force. As a result, she set to work creating something that would help defend the village. Her answer was a suit of armor, powered by a stone given to her by a Matoran expedition. After the suit was finished, she decided it was time to test the suit’s capabilities.
Upon donning the suit and powering it on, Uira felt an instant surge of energy rush through her. When she came to her senses, she also realized that she had been transformed, as the stone powering the suit was actually a Toa Stone. That day, she became a sort of Pseudo-Toa, granted elemental powers but only when she donned the armor, which she soon discovered. After discovering the new opportunities that the suit gave her, control over electricity and slight control over iron, she set to work training in the armor and arming it. After slight modifications, the suit gave her increased strength and reflexes, in addition to elemental control, and the whole suit was energized. Knowing that adaptability is always a luxury, Uira allowed the suit to be modified for advancements in the future. After mastering her new powers by training for months, she felt the urge to create a second “Power Suit,” which she gave to her close friend Kasai, a Ta-Matoran.
While training with Kasai in their “Power Suits,” their village was again attacked by Krahdtus and his Rahi. They attacked just as before; however, their attack was much more devastating. Despite Uira and Kasai’s best efforts, the entire village was destroyed and most of the Matoran were injured. The Matoran that survived also suffered after the attack, as Krahdtus left a disease in the village that caused its victims to suffer an agonizing death that would later transform them into mutated creatures. Weeks after the attack, only Uira and Kasai remained as survivors, saved by the features of the armor. Not knowing what to do, they left the village behind, searching for another to live in.
Fearful of outsiders, the villages they encountered turned them away. Left with little options, they decided in becoming mercenaries, renting their services for pay. Their missions sent them across the Matoran Universe, contributing to a growing reputation. Their new line of work included a variety of things, from caravan escorts, to assassinations. After killing a Dark Hunter, they gained recognition by the Order of Mata Nui. Upon arriving to discuss with the Order, Teridax took over the Matoran Universe. Uira worked to disrupt the electrical systems of the Makuta robot but her actions were of little help, managing to help others escape. She later would team with Jraon to disable some of the weapon systems.
After the battle, she helped to release the Matoran and help them relocate onto Spherus Magna. After the relocation was complete, she and Kasai resumed business as mercenaries. After a few months, they were contacted by Jraon because of their assistance against the Makuta robot, asking them if they would join the Council of Toa. Despite not being full Toa, they accepted and joined the ranks of the Council, working with several teams on highly dangerous enemies. After months, the peace was interrupted by the emergence of their old enemy Krahdtus who had emerged as the new leader of the Makuta Remnant Forces. She would join a team hand-selected by Tarshduk to fight the leader due to her experience against him.
Jaetaro's Comments: I had a really fun time building this moc. Back in August, around Bricks By the Bay, I had envisioned a female silver and trans blue moc and this was the result. About half way through the build I developed the idea of a power suit of armor, which is especially evident in the legs of the build. In addition, I tried a bit of color blocking, with black representing her actual body or undersuit, silver as the armor and trans blue representing electrified elements. This build inspired a moc, Kasai, which is meant to represent a refined power suit inspired by this first one, with wires and whatnot hanging off.
There are a lot of names mentioned in this backstory, which are mostly mocs that are yet to be posted here. Most are important in a new story I am developing with them. If you want to see a bit into this, check out my new mocing instagram @jaetaro12.
Thanks for everyone that still sticks around and looks at my mocs! Look forward to more posts, I have at least 4 more to post!
Thanks so much for your input. I was thinking about doing a more streamlined version for a future update. This current armor is meant as a sort of generation 1 suit with future versions being more redefined. Think Iron Man I guess :P
Thanks so much for your input, if I ever revamp Uira, I will definitely take these into consideration. Also , the armor is meant to be somewhat messy as a sort of generation 1 armor suit with successive versions being more defined.
I like the build, and I especially enjoy the color scheme! My only complaints are that the waist seems really thin, and also the tubes are really distracting. Maybe for another version you can have her upgrade the armor to make it more streamlined and need less power cables or whatever. Otherwise, I love it!
Cool MOC! I like the overall aesthetics of the MOC, it looks very G1 and awesome! The legs are very complex and look super cool, however I feel they look too clunky and messy. The torso also looks nice and does a good job of making it look more feminine. The claws are also pretty cool. The arms also look good. Overall, I think the MOC suffers from too much messiness. The legs looks quite technic heavy with lots of sharp edges and chunkiness. It also doesn't help that the upper torso is for the most part smooth and clean but hey, maybe it's just I've become too used to CCBS. Anyway, a nice little build that could use a little fixing up.
