A visual record from Fleet Admiral Shawn on the colonization on Mintaka VI, the colony known as New Strength.
About this creation
After establishing a place for the base and laying down a road, surveyors were sent to check some old-fashioned communication lines that we put up on first landing. The reports indicate line and pole erosion, so we will remove them.

Vast snow-filled tundra hills and valleys will ensure maximum space signal reflection, meaning detecting the colony will be extremely difficult for the forces of evil.

But the snowglider has a hidden function...

One that the colonists will employ on difficult terrains...

It becomes a mech!

Now we can traverse the harshest of conditions.

Tracking a mountain ridge for possible intrusion detection equipment to be set up.

An interesting reflection was seen and tracked... it turned out to be a frost beetle seeking warmth, as when discovered, it nestled the engine. Fortunately, it can't burrow into the machinery and was easily removed and relocated.

Headed back to base camp before that storm hits. Sure hope they got the enviro-shelters built.

Yes, this is a MOD of Alpha Team Arctic set 4742 - Chill Speeder.Redesigned the leg supports. Added weapons, redid Lt. Vigilant's uniform, since this is closer to his REAL BRICK minifig! Coming soon!!!

As is, looks good in speeder mode, the mech LOOKS good. As always, the 2x2 round "engine cover" will have the Nexus Force symbol on it.

The older version can be found here.
