NEW for 2016
Rather than looking back i thought it would be a nice change to look ahead to whats to come,a ssneek preview of the USS Saratoga which hopefully will be completed 2016,pretty much the same scale as the USS Missouri, will look great when the two of them are sitting next to each other, eating up pieces very quick, size ,lets just say its massive, hull is about 40 bricks highand with all the gun placements about 3 1/2 ft plus wide, next up is my comission ehich is finished awaiting a display case in late january,a few pics of interior etc, another one near completion is modern day tugboat based on Sanmae (Turkey) design, hope you enjoy and Happy New year

You know, i wonder, since they are open bottomed, and therefore would trap in a nice bubble of air, if you have a pool, or access to one, i wonder if they would float, at all, at least long enough for pictures to be taken.

Quoting Henrik Jensen Wow! So much is going on here. It`s truly amazing, you just posted your vintage tugboat, and now you have almost finished a modern tug as well, beside your ongoing mega-projects, Im almost loosing my breath. Lovely details on your ocean-liner, I like the functioning davits. Looking forward to see the lone Avenger getting company from a full squadron of pacific fighters. Happy New Year Jim!
thanks for that, plenty time and pieces at the moment, enjoy building esp the last ship,(not an ocean liner more in the way of a yacht)it took a lot of trial an error to get them right, years and years trying to build them, finally got them right, makes a difference when pieces are endless supply, Happy New Year to everyone on here

Quoting Indy Beetle Is that carrier just resting in your kitchen?!"
yes this is my construction site LOL,its too cold in the garage, but i build here then take them out to bring the next bit in, so far the garage 20ft x 20ft is full, kitchen as you see, another room full of boxes and the dining room had an 11ft ship in there, the Saratoga (carrier)will be my biggest yet

Quoting Mark Kelso Even by AFOL standards, this is still a pretty mind-blowing scale to build in! And the work is looking terrific. Can't wait to see how things unfold!
thank you for that, being on here certainly improves your building techniques, you get to learn how others put bricks together, biggest problem is space and bricks as i dont break anything up,last thing you want to do as it takes a lot of time building them,i like this scale to build but its expensive LOL
