LoM RC: Tourney Intro
My intro for the 2016 Tourney. This takes place a month after my last LoM build.
About this creation

LoM RC: Tourney Intro 1
Antus shivered. It was cold. Deadly cold. He had been walking for hours. He was not more than a mile away from Bodus now. Suddenly, he froze.

LoM RC: Tourney Intro 2
Standing just off the path was a Warg. Not a great, southern Warg like the one Terrenen had ridden, but a smaller one of the northern variety, which normally traveled in packs. That probably meant there were others nearby.

LoM RC: Tourney Intro 3
The Warg sniffed the air, searching for some scent in the air. Antus crouched down in hopes of concealing himself. No such luck.

LoM RC: Tourney Intro 4
The Warg turned around and began gambolling towards him. Antus turned, looking for escape, but found only another Warg advancing on him. He drew his sword.

LoM RC: Tourney Intro 5
The first Warg lunged. Antus smacked it away with his sword, then dashed off the path. While the first Warg recovered, the second attacked. Antus swung his sword at it but the creature managed to dodge. It came at him again, and Antus brought the sword down on its head. The grey Warg suddenly jumped over the brown one. Antus ducked as the monster skidded and corrected itself. The two injured creatures limped towards him, still intent on their prey. Antus stabbed the brown one in the chest. He skirted around the remaining Warg as it turned towards him. Antus took a swing at the beast, but it just glanced off. He backed away from the Warg, vaguely aware of the cliff behind him.

LoM RC: Tourney Intro 12
The creature lunged again, landing on top of Antus. It opened its mouth to devour him, but instead of the taste of meat, it was geeted by the taste of iron in its gaping maw.
He retrieved his sword, washing it off in the snow, then continued on his way, glad to still be alive.

4th Wall Commentary:
I'm quite pleased with how this build turned out. As always building occasionally turned to stress, but it was fun nevertheless.
Originally I planned on doing a much smaller build but then I thought " Why do a small build when I have far more build time due to break?" So I created this, which is nearly 48x48.
The boulder fell off several times, due to it being hard to find connection point, since it is tilted on all three axis'. (Axises? Axes? I don't know.)

Decided to throw in this easter egg. From right: My main LoM character, The Cheesemaker, who appears in several builds, A pig, and My SigFig.

Well, there was one slot open, and three people who wanted it, so we just filled up. Otherwise we would take you.

Quoting Gilbert Despathens You guys look really intimidating in your guild poster, and your build probably doesn't reassure your opponents much, either. Have you tried using Mixels joints or Technic ball-and-socket connections for oddly-positioned rockwork like that before? Many builders swear by it. Also, the plural form is "axes" pronounced with a long "e", but I confess that I would have thought of the woodcutting tools if you had used it. Anyway, welcome to the Tourney!
I can't believe I didn't think of that.

Quoting Deus "Big D." Otiosus The landscape is beautiful, which is becomming the standard in LOM creations. I would prefer if LOM participants would not force some techniques like pannel rockwork or intricate stonework, because it does not feel as natural as it could. I mean that many people force themselves to build in contradiction to their building style. Ah, whatever. Happy new year 2016. Continiue making LOM MOCpages' pride.
I think this is the first semi positive comment I've gotten from you.
