ASD Tug (Azimuth Stern Drive) as my Lego fleet is growing and the tugs are getting older time for some new ones,
this is based on the 30mtr 3060 Robert Allan Design built by Uzmar in Turkey,
at last i have a use for the 100s of megablok wheels i have gathered up over the years, built in 2 halves so it can look like it at sea or the hull complete, quite like the way it turned out (better than i thought it would)the wheelhouse is hard with all the angles and glass but holds together no too badly,
thanks for looking
Excellent rendering of the current industry standard, Jim. The rich detailing shows knowledge of modern tug technology, which has come a long way in the last 20 years. Especially like the forward winch and propulsors.
Another amazing ship from J. Mcdonoughs Ship Yard. Great idea to divide the hull for both waterline and dock display. You did well on the Wheel house, all those angles can be a nightmare. The Azi pods look great too.
I like it

Nice! I love the functional azipods. Tugs like these are great subjects -- I may get around to building one at some point, probably at my "larger" scale of 1:65.
