Hoth - The Empire strikes back
About this creation
Hi Mocpages,
This Star Wars Hoth ( the snowplanet shown in the movie 'The Empire strikes back') Diorama is mostly built not by myself, but by an real life Legofriend Afol: Udo King.
I will mention my little contributions under the pics. So I will show your comments to Udo King, he is the one, who deserves the praise, and critics.
- The Dio is completed by several original Lego sets, such as snownspedders, AT-AT, ...
Background:
After the Rebels escaping savely from the former base on an green moon, because the location was now well known by the Empire, the Rebels founded an new secret base on the snowplanet Hoth. But the Empire sent drones to every celestial body in the galaxy, and one was even landed on Hoth; It could transmit the picture of the planetary-Shieldgenerator to Darth Vaders' super-Stardestroyer. After this pitty, the Empirial Navy landed with a great ground-assault unit on hoth, and finaly Darth Vader landed himself to overtake the Rebelbase. The only solution for the Rebels to escape an second time, was to clean an flight-corridor by the planetary-defense Ion-canon, for the shuttles to depart immediatelly...

Because this Dio will be part of an Exhibition in the Barroque Castle Ludwigsburg ( 6.2.16, until 5.3.16), a picture of the most basicly work, we have to do for every Exhibition: scissoring fabric

Master Udo King!

Udo King at Work.
The finishing of the white landscape is done the day after, i took this photos.
And the Millenium Falcon is also placed in the Hangar, later.

A short trip through the genius Wampa-Cave ( by Udo King):

one of my conributions: The Planetary Defense Ion Canon

Accurate features of the Hangar, such as the Maintenace-bridge:

The grey hoover-transport-wagons are my work, too

Command Centre

Medical Lab

Also from mine: the shuttle-platform defense laser-canon, the ball behind Vaders' shuttle( it is not shown in the movie, how Vader landed...)

another one of the several field canon types

The Planetary-Shield-Generator is created most authentic together with Udo King and me.

The column-Laser-Canons are my contribution, too; contrary to the movie, i added an windscreen to command post, of the rotateable upper canon unit.
Bye, hope you liked this colab!

That is an awesome diorama. I really like the ion cannon you contributed.
Thank You, Kenji!
The Ion-canon, plays a very important role in the movie. I am a bit disappointed, Lego made an ugly version in their new official Hoth set...
May i should, put my version, as UCS, on Lego-Ideas... |

Echt beeindruckend, Details wohin man nur schaut. Gibt's dafür Preise? Verdient hätte es einen! ~Marc
Danke, Marc!

Top notch
Thank You, Danke, Stephan! |

Everybody loves Hoth!
