Lego version of a 19th century gingerbread Victorian home.
About this creation
This is my version of a 19th century gingerbread Victorian home. I spent some time researching images of this particular style of Victorian house and constructed a version that in my minds eye balanced between the very "busy" versions and the simpler versions when it comes to this style of exterior décor found on gingerbread Victorians. I chose magenta for the body color, which happened to coincide with this months Lug build, Valentines day. The house is fully furnished with kitchen, living, dining room, mud room and half bath under the stairway on the first level. The second level has a master bed with master bath, common area by the second story fireplace, two bedrooms, one girls and boys bedrooms with a "Jack and Jill" shared full bath. The most difficult part of the build was working out the Lego "mathematics" while constructing the turret rooms and multi-faceted porch that wraps around the turret window. The chimney went through several designs before I decided on the final appearance.
love the planter extensions under the window!always excited to see your new work pop up! as usual you keep killing the competition. dont stop building brosef!! im looking forward to your next show stopper
Gorgeous detailing, inside and out. I was impressed with the exterior ... the saw you'd done the interior too! This house looks very much like the "Gingerbread Houses" in Edgartown on Martha's Vineyard.
