K-7 is an unarmed civilian space station constructed in 2257. The K-Class stations, which are designed with a 30-year lifespan, are used as a means of fostering trade and cultural exchange as well as providing medical aid and deep space support services. As a neutral site K-7 operates under a non-military arm of the Federation, attracting all manner of travellers, explorers, colonists, traders, and ne’er-do-wells.
I was lucky to find some excellent plans, which I’ve followed pretty rigorously. They were uploaded in 2015 by Kevin Willcox on Cygnus X-1, the best site for Star Trek blueprints. Apparently there are several versions of K-7: the original series model, which is hard to get good reference for; the remastered CGI model, which is more bulbous; and the excellent practical model built by Greg Jein for DS9. These plans follow the latter model. http://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/lcars/k-7-space-station.php
Like they say at the Starfleet Corps of Engineers, you can’t explore the final frontier without a proper deep space support infrastructure!

Cargo Handling is largely done with anti-gravity machinery. Looks like fun to ride!
Maybe not so fun if you still have to push it tho.
What’s that you say? Where’s the long-awaited TOS Enterprise secondary hull? Strangely paralleling non-canon Trek history, development of the Constitution class has run into difficulties due to the complexity of the design. I’ve been messing around on G Deck, fixing things that weren’t working, and most of that is now done. But I’m still figuring out a key component that just wasn’t looking right (and not fitting right either). Although progress is being made, you can expect the G Deck update (and maybe one or two other projects) first.
I added a couple more photos of Sickbay. I'd forgotten the nurse's desk and there wasn't a clear picture of the distinctive TOS-style beds. It's basically McCoy's sickbay, with extra space and facilities.
