THE Racer - Fastest Lego RC Car
For those who still wonder if my "Perfect Return to Center" trick is useful...
About this creation

Probably the fastest Lego Car made of stock parts only, and I didn't use the RC Unit to control the two RC Buggy motors. Have a look at the rear and front axles, derived from the 42000 set: they're worth it.

I don't sell anything, I just build, disassemble and build something new ;)

Quoting TheMind Garage Do you have any specific speed stats? My record with MINDSTORMS EV3 is 20.6kmph, but that one didn't have any steering. Sariel also made a Turbo Trike which reached 20.78kmph, and there might be others that reached faster speeds.
The answers are here: http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/421976 I have also reached 20.5km/h with this Dragster without steering, and Slewentoggz owns the maximal speed record with a trike and 2 SBricks, at 24km/h: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7vHOpuCZ9w Reaching higher speeds with stock Lego motors is very unprobable, we are all in the same speed ranges: 10km/h is easy, 15km/h becomes tricky, 20km/h requires vehicles that don't look like a car, getting higher is touchy. The LiPo doesn't bring anything compared to high end batteries: less internal resistance, but lower voltage > same power, and the weight saving is not critical compared to friction and wheels inertia.

Thanks Nick! This one was a real challenge: how to build a precision mechanism with parts that were not made for it!

Amazing performance, and you're steadily solving all the problems with PF RC.

Thanks guys :) This build was a real technical challenge, but I'm finally glad to have made it. The most important for me is sharing: if there's one guy only on this planet that found it helpful, it will pay for all the time spent on it. And yes, I had a lot of fun running like crazy behind this amazing racer!!!

You did a fantastic job on this one. It's really fast and was much fun watching the video. Very well done. Keep up your great work my friend.

Superb engineering and performance once again, WS! You've put your steering solution to excellent use. Hope this gets the attention it deserves, as bare-bones Technic MOCs don't seem to do well on MOCpages -- no matter how spectacular functionally. I'm generally more impressed with performance than cosmetics in MOCs, but that's definitely a minority view around here. Oh, well, to each his own.
