The completed restaurant. (finally) It took me about 2 months to build it. Not all the time of course. It was a pretty difficult design, especially the roof. But, I'm pretty pleased with the result. Enjoy, hope you like it.
About this creation
To catch a fish
Oh, no, Benny is late!
What is he doing here?
From the side.
From the back.
From the 'other' side.
Why does he look so angry? He loves animals, doesn't he?
Jippie!!! let's get some carrots!
Oh, no! He's going to take all the carrots...
From above. Nearly 3000 1x2 plates were used for the roof. Which color did I use most?
Roof from the 'other' side.
Roof from the back.
Roof from the side.
Part of the roof, it is almost totally removable. So my kids could play with it.
Center section is gone.
For the curved roof parts, I had to use lots of 1x1 round plates and 1x2 plates to keep it together.
As you can see, the restaurant is pretty crowded. They serve some fantastic dishes there.
It was actually pretty strong this way.
Most of the roof is gone. But you can probably see that for yourself...
This is the roof of the kitchen, which was the easiest to build.
A look inside the kitchen. It was pretty hard taking pictures inside the kitchen, it was very tight.
Snape talks to the Elvenking, but he wants to do something else. He is also on a job. Something to do with a Potter kid.
She's looking at a cabinet. She wants a book about knitting.
Did someone complain about the food? I will settle that!
Arwen is a waitress. She loves to do that. She does not like the elf sitting at the bar, he is telling terrible jokes about his sister in law.
All the weapons. Also one of the five wizard staffs.
They are arguing about the best looking glass. Bilbo is making a very good point. And Elrond doesn't like it very much.
Luke is a farm boy, he needs food. And Obi? He is only drinking for loosing his mentor and best buddy.
Apples are great!
Harry Potter, with Neville and his best friend. Ron was not around, probably because the builder does not own Ron with the flesh-colored minifighead.
Hmmm, is this the real staff?
Welcome guests!Look at my rug, made it myself.

...Gimli is a nice dwarf.
Gimli is a nice dwarf. Lovely at the fireplace.
Lovely at the fireplace.
Yeck! my king told me the food was good. It tastes like the end of a carrot...
My fellow masterbuilders. And Emmet...
Let's not bicker about who killed who. Let's celebrate. This is supposed to be a happy occasion!
I'm all alone... snifff, where's Harry Potter?
My fish, my own, my .... (fill in what you like best)
Sneaky little hobbitses!
Inside the kitchen.
A fishnet and two spare barrels of ale. (I think...)
Inside the kitchen.
Hi there. I left it build in my house for a month. After that I tore it apart. It took me a while to do that. I sorted all the used bricks at the same time. During this build I found out that I used up most of my green. I thought I had a lot more. I did not. (I'm not complaining by the way, my collection is still growing and far to big, considering I had half a bin when I was little and I could build a lot.)
This was my biggest build, not my most complicated I think, that's still my minotaur. But it is the most detailed. At first I wanted to build the Green Dragon. But I decided I didn't want to build something from a picture. So the general shape is a bit like it. And I love to mix all kind of minifigures. I do that a lot with my kids. A pretty normal city, with a dragon, with a castle next to a gasstation. And with LEGO, it is all possible.
Thanks for watching, I hope you liked it. Please leave a comment.
Awesome, it looks like a place where many stories are told, and many new ones are made! That is indeed a complicated roof... I like all the non-90-degree angles of the walls, but what troubles they create for the roof :)
