It was 11:00 afternoon in Los Angeles. Sgt. Joe Friday and officer Gannon were on patrol in a police cruiser. They were doing their patrols often on Main Street. Then a motorcycle sped through the road. Joe Friday did a plate check on the motorcycle.
Friday: Dispatch, can you do a plate check on CM100295.
Radio: Copy, that's going to be an Indian motorcycle. Standby for further information.
Radio: Suspect has a warrant for his arrest. Suspect is armed and dangerous. Proceed with caution.
The cruiser's siren goes on. The suspect's motorcycle increases its speed. Officer Gannon draws his Detective special and tries for the back tires. The motorcycle crashes in a grass field.
The police cruiser stops. Sgt. Joe Friday (in the white hat) rushes to the back to get the shotgun. Right as Officer Gannon comes out, the suspect draws his gun and fires several rounds. The officers duck for cover by the car.
Joe: Flinch and you'll be chasing your head down 5th street!
Joe fires 3 shots. 2 hits his left while the other one missed. Instead of giving up the suspect returns more fire and ducks behind is motorcycle.
Officer Gannon fires his revolver and it hits the motorcycle. The suspect returns 2 more shots then stops. He realizes he's out of bullets and he has to turn himself in to the police.
Suspect: I give up *raises his hands in the air*
Joe: Toss the gun forward to me.
Gannon: You're arrested for deadly weapon.
Gannon: You have the right to remain silent. Anything - Okay you know the rest.
Joe calls in for prisoner transport. What you have seen is true. The names have been changed to protect the innocent.
