Today is my one year "MOC"iversary! In honor of the first MOC I ever posted (G1 Optimus Prime V1), I introduce to you Mini G1 Optimus Prime! He transforms fully from truck to Autobot leader without the addition or removal of parts. I've had a lot of fun the past year and have seen many amazing creations from some terrific builders! I look forward to building and seeing more MOCS for years to come! Enjoy and please feel free to rate and comment! As always, happy building!

Quoting Owen the Omniscient of Lithowenia Hey, I've noticed that the success of these transformers hinges(oh my gosh, the PUNS!!) on the front of the truck being the robot's chest. Is there a way to incorporate the grille and other elements into the robot so as not to disrupt its form when it transforms? I'm not trying to detract from your build--I could NEVER do this--, but I think it would be a cool concept. Anyway, INSANE build!
Thanks for the comment! I'm not exactly sure what you mean by incorporate the grill and other elements into the robot.

Quoting Bumblebee 5253 Dang, the vehicle mode is really good! Fairly accurate, and very clean. The robot mode on the other hand, isn't as much so. He looks kinda janky and slightly restrictive, also disproportionate to his G1 self. Not a bad MOC overall though, I hope you're able to improve it if you have the heart to do so!
Thanks! Yeah, I concentrated a little too much on making vehicle mode as smooth as possible and in the process sacrificed proportions and articulation in robot mode. I would like to do a V2 at some point when I'm finished with some of the other projects I'm working on.

Quoting Beardless Dwarf (Evan) Happy MOCiversary! I like your version of Optimus! Some of the proportions are a little weird but overall I really like it. The minifig space is quite nice.
Thanks!

Quoting alex wong This is a cool mini size Optimus with a lots of articulation on it and still fits a min figure.
Thanks Alex! I wasn't sure if I would be able to fit a Minifig at this scale and still have him look ok but I managed to find just enough space :)

Quoting Joshua C. I really like your method of giving him hands and how he looks like the original toy. This is a pretty nice build.
Thanks Joshua! It took a few tries to get the hands to fit right, but I finally figured out something that worked. Glad you like it!
