About this creation
For Round 2 of the 2016 Middle Earth LEGO Olympics.

My category was "The Ring Goes South" and my opponent is J-rod Smith
~~~
Unfortunately, I was unable to finish this entry, but I wanted J-rod to have some sort of competition...
EDIT: New photo, with finished build!
Too cool. Love the variety in how you shaped the rock formations.
While I loved your entry, J-Rod's just gave me so much more to see. He gets my vote.
Man, are you guys TRYING to make it impossible for us judges?! :P Both of your entries are awesome: awesome rocks, awesome layout, awesome coloring, and so on. J-Rod's entry is very nicely detailed, but a little chaotic. Also, the palm fronds don't really fit with the landscaping from the movie. Graham's landscaping is a tiny bit better, and his build overall matches the movie's aesthetic better, so Graham gets my vote. (I know all those reasons are really nit-picky, but it was just that close).
Too bad you couldn't finish. :( I t would have looked even better than it does now. Good luck.
Both of you captured the scene pretty much to perfection. I like both takes, the rocks are great and very inspirational. I think J-rod's is great and I like the size of his rocks and the overall size, the details of what each member in the fellowship is doing as a big plus for me. Graham's is also great, I would have loved to see the finished product, he too included some important details such as the wrestling match happening. I think Graham's is a bit cleaner while J-rod's can be a little hard to focus on one thing, and this may be what he was going for. In the end my vote goes to J-rod, the sheer size of his MOC and the jagged rocks is what ended up being the clincher for me. Both of you have very note worthy MOCs and I look forward to more. Good luck with the other judges!
It's a shame you couldn't finish this in time, hope you still plan to finish it though ;) It still doesn't look too bad. Nice work with the rocks.
Nice work but we're I you I'd have explained what scene this was, I've been marked down before for not explaining things like that and let me tell you it leaves a sour taste on your tongue :)
Despite not being finished this looks really nice! You should post some more pictures so we can see how good it really is! =)
Despite it being unfinished (the rocks in the back mainly), it looks like it came out quite nicely!
