About this creation
Penny is a high strung GG-1 electric who might have obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). She loves doing her job hauling passenger trains, but hates dirt messing up her paint... especially soot from steam engines. If she must be around them, she will, but as soon as she leaves the area, she will go to the wash track and get scrubbed clean again... at least for a little while. It's not that she hates steamers, it's just the dirt associated with them.
Warren is a World War II-era GS-6 Daylight. He is very insecure about his older cousin, who is a famous GS-4 steam loco who is much more famous (and loved, according to Warren) than him. This cousin is painted in red, orange, and black and features full streamlining, while Warren is a smaller engine who only features basic streamlining and no fancy paint job. Despite these insecurities, Warren does his jobs well, and even manages to take time to mentor Otto, a younger steam loco.
Otto is a newer streamlined fast passenger steam engine who is everyone's friend. He is a student of a much older engine named Warren, and loves to run the fast passenger trains. However, he hides a deep fear of diesels replacing steam engines forever. He feels whenever he is down for repairs or cleanings, diesels are taking his loads and doing them better and faster. Otto worries that someday his fire will go out, and he will be sent to the scrap yard. To prevent this, he works really hard, (perhaps to hard) wearing down his parts faster and working trains that he should have some helper engines on.
