The small shed was filled with the musty odor of its past inhabitants. Jako turned to Alex who was standing beside him.
“Yesterday the Mythronian spy’s gave the report that there are still living Mythronian prisoners inside of the city. We have been tasked with retrieving them, so I decided to send you and your men in.”
“So all we have to do is infiltrate a dwarf infested city and retrieve a few prisoners form a building in the center of the city.
“Pretty much, but you cannot be noticed. We don’t want the dwarves to know we are here.”
“Well, we need to leave then, the assault starts soon.”
The wall was only a few feet in front of where Alex and his two men stood. The man to his right pulled out an arrow, aimed, and shot the dwarf guard that was on the wall. The other Threw a rope over the wall after the dwarf was dead.
“Up the wall, quick!” Alex whispered. The two men shot up the wall at his command and disappeared into the night.
The two men sped down the streets unnoticed by the ever-present dwarves. They finally came to the place where the prisoners were located. The man without the bow pulled out another coil of rope and threw it over the wall. The one with the bow immediately climbed up it.
“Hey get up the rope.” The man said bluntly to the prisoners held in the small walled in area. They looked up and saw that they weren’t dwarves the climbed up the rope.
When they were on the other side the second man gave them the instructions of how to get out of the city. The archer climbed down the rope after the last prisoner. He mouthed the words lets go and they set off down the road.
They came to the wall and climbed the rope there to the other side.
“Good work men now let’s get back to camp.”
