Story:

As they looked upon the imposing grey stone wall of Meids, the generals, Jako and John Guyere talked in anxious tones,

“It is taking longer than expected for the dig team to come back,” said John.

“Hark! I here sound on the other side of the wall!” exclaimed Jako.

“Could they have gotten intercepted in some dwarf attack?”

“But they do not have the numbers to beat a dwarf attack! Maybe we should lead our forces through the tunnel to their aid.”

“Alright, gather your troops together but wait until I give the word. They may still make it out and we will then proceed as planned.”

After a several minutes in which the generals gathered their troops, the sound on the other side seemed to be dying down.

“The battle on the other side is drawing to an end; the dwarf party must have been small.”

“What if it is our friends who are dying?”

“How do you explain that no one from either side has come out the tunnel then?”

At that moment, several of the dig team came running frantically out the tunnel. As Luke ran, he called to the anxious captains,

“We were delayed … small dwarf party … must find a way to light supports,” he gasped.

Then a red glow came from inside the tunnel and out of the opening ran Torch as fast as he could.

Text Break

With a gigantic crash, the whole section of the wall came down. Then a little ways inside the city, a horn could be heard: A raspy dwarf horn calling the legions to the gap in the wall. The dwarves were already gathering on the other side.

“Ride forth! To the ruin of the dwarves!” exclaimed John Guyere as he urged his horse to jump the rubble.

With a leap to clear the rubble, Jako crying to his troops, “For Nerogue! And for the Lands of Mythron!”

Then Jako drove his sword into the ground and, with great agility, hurled his body over the strong blade. Upon landing his feet on the other side, wrenched the weapon out of the ground and brought it down with such force on the dwarf in front of him that it cleaved the scum's helmet in two.

At the same time, John Guyere had raised his lance and flung it through two nearby dwarves. He had an arrow on the string as fast as you could say, “Knifes!” and shot down a third who was going for his horse.

Both captains and their men fought gallantly, however the dwarves were now growing in number every minute. After a while of hard fighting, the voice of Jako could be heard shouting to his men, “Retreat! Retreat and regroup!” John Guyere echoed Jako’s command, “Retreat!”

They had been pushed back, but not defeated.

Comments:

This is my first serious rockwork and I have some things to learn. It's also my first use of dangling leaves. Hope you enjoy!

This is also my build for the universal Ambassador Rank Challenge.

Quoting Zechariah Blake Everything is great except for the two really tall dwarves and the guy with the yellow head! :P
Yeah, I knew those dwarves were tall. As for the guy with the yellow head, that came from this being a crossover and needing to accurately represent other people's characters.
