These are the three more specialized types of Plagor soldiers, meant for certain conditions where regular plagor troops are just not effective. These are entirely my designs, not taken from karrth's old version of the plagor troops.
About this creation
This is the Plagor Aquatic Infantry, used for general underwater raids and obviously the base underwater Plagor soldier. These are specially trained rotgers, but there is only so much a rotger is capable of, so like most Plagor infantry large groups of these are used.
Armed with a speargun and a small machine gun these soldiers are sightly better marksmen than their terrestrial counterparts. Aquatic raids are not as big as land armies due to the slightly more expensive nature of these soldiers. The true Plagors NEVER swim in hostile waters unless they happen to be in a large fortified sub. it is not that the true plagors can't swim, they just don't like risking death unnessecarily.
This is the Desert Plagor Infantry, these are also specially trained rotgers. the equipment these soldiers carry allows them to survive for extended periods in the desert, making them ideal centuries and scouts making sure the Taliarn don't extend their foot hold in Tayko's few arid enviroments.
they are armed with an assault rifle, and carry enough ammo with them to last a couple of days if they mainly encounter a few light skirmishes. the orange visor both repels dust from getting into their helmets and acts as a scope for using the assault rifle.
This is my version of one of Karrth's Taliarn soldiers, i don't have any of those new guns so i made my own.
And saving the best for last! This is the Plagor Sniper. These are specially trained Vrugetts that are excellent marskmen and very good at covert operations. next to the elites and the true Plagors these soldiers are at the top of the Plagor Soldier heierarchy.
The massive Sniper rifle is over double the length of the vrugett. the rounds it uses are not only long-range but spiral and tear more than most sniper rifles. a singe shot, or even graze, from this rifle will kill all but the most armored infantry.
the back box is the com. array for the Plagor Sniper, allowing him to recieve orders and tactical information while in the field.
the gun can snap apart into 3 smaller peices for moving around, but it is still hard for these sodliers to cover much ground very quickly. they are usually airdropped into location under the cover of night.
Enough descriptions, take a look at some simple diorammas i made with these troops to better illustrate their roles.
This is a desert scene i made, showing the Plagor Sniper and Desert Infantry. the Taliarn scout is te helpless victim.
a look up at the sniper nest from behind the Taliarn scout.
2 Desert Infantry guard the only way up to the sniper nest
I love this pic of the sniper, peering out from the bushes.
A look at the unfortunate Taliarn infantry from the sniper's piont of view.
A dead Rotger, too bad, good thing i have loads of them.
one of the desert infantry guarding the base of the sniper nest.
Some temporary ladders put in to more easily get to this sniper nest.
Many landmines cover the desserts of Tayko, the Taliarni placed them mostly at mountain choke pionts and key roads. unfortunatly the burried mines have begun to get unburried by the mild sandstorms in the desert. now Plagor forces just go around the clearly visible mines.
An over head look at the sniper nest
A simple underwater scene, look for more of these as more underwater plagor forces are made.
Excellent work on all this!
You guys keep having a lone Taliarni always die, but they are rarely alone, or on foot.
But yeah, great work on everything!
I really like the sniper and your representation of a Taliarn Desert troop is pretty good.
Come on over to the forum to talk about it.
