It is probably due to my deep sympathy to defenders that I have always related with ones that are attacked. As a child, I was looking through LEGO catalogues, and I was much saddened to see two pictures - one was a huge Spyrius robot destroying Unitron monorail and second was UFO mothership destroyinf Explorien Starship with one shot of its weapons. Also, in history, I hated cultures and empires that devoured other cultures and enslaved them. I told myself - let us alternate history at least in my fantasy world - and that is probably the reason for my investing into Explorien and Unitron themes. Not to mention that they were always visually most beautiful for me. "Ireth" is my attempt to break a creative crisis that affected my life almost two years ago. As always, I struggled to balance between internal anathomy and external details. Main innovation is framework - I applied several techniques to make its shape non-perpendicular and not to make it boxy. Besides ships bridges, engines and masts that were taken from several Exlorien sets, whole hull, wings, keel and superstructure is SNOTed. Similiar to my Unitron models, I applied fragments of themes sets to look more authentic. Also, made overall design as open and fragile looking as I could. Despite that, ship is sturdy due to omnipresent framework that hold everything together. As for As for story, I imagine Atritians to contact Exporiens to help them build more solid ships to endure UFO invasion. I imagine Polaris, Unitron and Exploriens to make an alliance, with exchange of techs, ships and knowledge.
