WW2 Diorama
WWII Diorama in 1/20 Scale. Hispabrick 2007, Barcelona.
About this creation
This is the WWII diorama that was on display in the Hispabrick 2007 exhibition. It shows all my latest creations: the Tiger I, the Panzer IV and the last design a Kubelwagen. There are also 5 custom technic figure (I'm not very proud of them).

Summer 1944, France. The Wehrmacht is preparing for the imminent allied assault

Two soldiers repairing the Panzer IV tracks with the Kubelwagen parked

Closer view of the Tiger tank

Enemy is far away, so it's time to reload the mighty Tiger

View of the command trench with the MG-34 loaded and a high caliber mortar (design inspired on daniel zayac's mortar)

Closer view of the Kubelwagen used to transport troops to the front

Awesome build! Just one thing: As far as I know was the Kubelwagen used for the commanders to go to their troops, and for some reconaissance purposes, not for troop transporting. The Opel Blitz and some other trucks like Mercedes were used for that. Please correct me if I'm wrong:)

A great dio! The technics arent that bad, if there was more custom made gear (e.g. helmets, feild packs ect.) for them they would actualy be better than mini figs! The tanks are pretty good to. =)

Excellent model, liking the use of technic figs. @ Trevor the "people" are technic figures, LEGO included them in Technic sets awhile ago, also the other Army not "Team"* has not attacked yet so the Nazis ( for those of you who do not know: Krauts, Germans, Axis, or Bad guys of WWII) are setting up a road block. * I'm not trying to be rude or condescending but I called Armys teams when I was younger and it got on the nerves of almost everybody around me and for some reason it's getting on mine now.

Kudos to trying out a non-standard scale - this makes it much easier to build the vehicles and weapons to correct "people scale".

This is so good, I'll forgive the painted Technic figs. The tanks are RC, are they not? Awesome!
