I was tinkering about limited slip differentials – trying to find solution, so compact that it fits regular LEGO differentials. Then I wanted to make some vehicle to test it… One thing led to another and I had this top fuel dragster on my desk. :)

After some testing and helpful discussions with my colleagues, I realized that it's not actually a Limited Slip Differential. My solution locks the semi-axles at the start and give possibility to open them when they are not driven and Limited Slip Differential should be open at start and locks only when one wheel slip occurs. I apologize for that mistake.

Dimensions: 48cm long, 12 cm wide, 14.5 – 16 cm high and weighs 450 g

Electrical components: 1 RC 5292 motor - driving, 1 servo motor - steering, 1 8878 battery, 1 IR receiver. Heavy electrical components are placed at the back and the end result is compromise of appearance and function.

Besides motorized driving and steering, it has manually adjustable rear wing.

Thank you very much! Not just the battery, RC motor is placed above rear axle and servo motor is close to it as possible - so the heviest components are placed at the back to help avoid spinning wheels. :) Regarding the diff, I don't have any photos now (I can't make another photo before tomorrow), but you can see it clearly on 1:19 min of the video: http://youtu.be/ATzwHQjjqO4?t=1m19s

Thanks! :) Front wheels do get airborne at the start but just a little bit so it is still steerable - It is result of careful weight balancing. I'm very glad you like it. :)
