This model was inspired by this former LEGO Ideas project's turntable: ideas.lego.com/projects/33485 I have removed the shack on top of the four track long table (as seen on my previous versions) and added a modified switch tower near the edge of the model. This tower not only is supposed to control the table, but the surrounding yard tracks as well.
NOTE: The transfer table is not connected to the base-plates, as it just rests on the tiles and wheels. ALSO: The control building is modular and features a lift away roof and second floor.
The other side of the model.
The upper floor has a telephone on a small desk and computer on a larger one. This computer controls the signal lights and switches outside the tower, along with monitoring trains and keeping communication with their crews.
The lower floor is empty, save for the staircase to the upper floor.
The transfer table connects to a larger yard on the single track end, and a double track locomotive shed on the other. This shed is not included in the LDD file seen at the bottom of this MOC, but you can download it separately at this other MOCpage: www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/424574
