About this creation

Hey guys! Here is my largest build to date- it's two 48x48 baseplates! (Though there is a much larger one coming soon...) It took me a few months to build, I actually built the octagonal tower in March, and then came back to it and built the rest of the castle a couple of months later. Probably my favorite build yet, I really enjoyed doing the interior. Here are some more pictures:

Come see it live at BrickCon 2016 in Seattle, October 1st and 2nd!

Thanks for looking!

Quoting The Loreman Lots of nice little details in this MOC! Hardly a plain wall to be seen. A well balanced composition overall.
Thanks! Glad you like it!

Quoting Hildigrim Took Thinking of that last statement on the build... I think I will :) I've got some fifty dollars to spend on stuff and I'm planning to hang out with ya a lot! :D I'll be arriving pretty early and my parents gave me permission to run wild ;P

Sad that you don't... they're a lot of fun! Maybe someday you can come to the U.S. for a convention!

Quoting Rhino . Hey bro, I left a reply for you on my Lom Brotherhood post, asking for your email so I could send you a pic of the massive build I'm working on currently..... Was wondering if that was a possibility!? I completely understand not wanting to share your email on a public network thinggie, so you can have my email, then email me, and I'll send the pic..... Would that work better? my email is mylegonation@gmail.com
I received the email.

Quoting Roanoke Handybuck What I meant was it is just a little bit flat, if you were to add a bunch of dark grey slopes like you were doing snow-scaring, I think it would look a little less plain, but you are probably using them in your helm's deep. Overall though, that takes very little away from this awesome castle! Keep it up Classical!
Ah, okay. Yeah, most of them are used in Helms Deep :P

Quoting Jacob Syrups Amazing work! Those trees look amazing from a distance, but they seem kind of clunky up close. Maybe less studs and more of an hourglass shape would fix that.
I agree about the trees, I'm a little low on dark brown, so I'll see if I can do anything to fix them up for BrickCon, but chances are I won't have time. I'll keep that in mind for next time, though!

Quoting Marley Mac Awesome! I really love the landscaping in this model, and those trees are great! I like how much is going on. The intereors look good, lots of interesting details, though IMO they're a bit empty, but I understand, with such a large model you probably didn't have a lot of pieces left, I know I wouldn't. Anyway very nice, and I'm looking forward to the next big one. :D
Wow! Thanks so much for the nice comment Marley! I'm glad you like it! :D

Quoting Captain DaPink It looks great! My only qualm (seems like everyone's a critic today) is that the sailor in the rowboat is backward, one rows a rowboat facing aft.
Haha, thanks! Yeah, I've gotten lots of useful advice! Thank you so much for pointing that out, just a mistake on my part :P I'm in the process of fixing that right now, for BrickCon!

Quoting Justin Li Awesome job. Couple things: the trees on flex tubes could do with a couple more leaf pieces here and there. You should finish the right side of the tudor style wall; it looks a bit weird as is. Really like everything else, though. The water's nice, and the cone roof is pretty unique.
Thanks Justin! Those are great suggestions, I worked a lot on the tudor section, and I tried making a wall with a door on the right, but I ran into a lot of complications with the roof. I also ran out of dark green leaves for the trees. :P Thank you for the comment and suggestions though! I look forward to seeing you at Brickcon! (Only two more weeks!)

Quoting Jonathan Demers Sweet! I love this build!! How did you build the octagonal tower? Are the red floors in the keep lego? The interiors are really well done and the SNOT floors look great! Water is okay, the landscaping is alright. I can tell that you put a lot of effort into building this one! Nice large build! I wish I could go to Brickcon, but I live on the East coast.
Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Jonathan! I might post a picture of how I did the octagonal tower on flickr, it's kind of hard to explain, but the walls are mostly SNOT. As for the red floors, of course they're Lego! I used a bunch of these on their side: http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=98283#T=S&C=59&O={"color":59} Thanks again!

Quoting Roanoke Handybuck Awesome job Classical! Keep up the good work! This is incredible! One thing I would suggest is that if you have any color other than dark grey for the ground? It looks a little bit dark and slightly plain, but other than that, the castle is great! Everything is spot on! The interiors are pretty cool, I really like the flooring! Always good to see from you! Keep it up!
Thank you! I actually used quite a variety of colors for the landscape, including dark green, dark tan, and sand green, so I'm not quite sure what you mean. Thanks again!
