12 days into Nnovvember, and not a single Vic Viper yet. Guy, what's going on? I have to change that.
First of all, this MOC does not contain a single piece of LEGO. Instead, this is Pebe, some kind of a LEGO copy they had in the previous German Democratc Republic. Really vintage actually. These are the very bricks my father used to have when he was a child, sort of a hundred, two hundred years ago(jk, 1970s). Feels somewhat weird to build with bricks you know are older than yourself, but whatever. There aren't really many special bricks to use. They all were intended for houses or, in this case, offroad cars and IFVs. Anyways, that's what I ended up with: a biplane concept with an angular forward cabin. Probably a bit unusual for the -normally streamlined- other Vic Vipers, but I like it alot. Fits one minifigure in the cabin.
A bit of fictional history about it: once a respected military ground attack vehicle from the Eastern Bloc, now a hopeless rust bucket that somehow still is able to fly. The actual name was way too complicated for anybody to remember, so they were just calling it the "flying tank", much like the WW2-era Ilyushin Il-2.
And another thing. Probably not very important. Now being at a university, I can't build with LEGO so much anymore - or at all. This VV was a short build of a couple of hours from yesterday evening becaue I'm at home at some weekends, but this is more of the exception. Long story short, I probably won't be that active on MOCPages anymore from now.
