The fourth chapter of Justice league: Overlords. Batman brings new members to his team, all whilst playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse with Superman
About this creation
Batman: As you can all see, I have some new recruits
Batman: Kara Zor-El, better known as Supergirl, now Powergirl. She has agreed to help us take down Superman and the other Overlords
Powergirl: To this day, I'm still shocked that Kal could do this...
Batman: We all are Kara. We also have General Zod. He knows the ways of Krypton far better than any of us. He and Powergirl are possibly the only ones of us that could potentially kill Superman. I hope it doesn't come to that but we have to be prepared.
Artemis: May I ask how Zod became involved in this? I thought he was just a myth.
Green arrow: You're one to talk.
Batman: He is not a myth. After he escaped from the phantom zone, he spent a lot of time in the arctic. In 1998, he was captured by some Russian scientists and then cryogenically frozen. He was sold on the black market to Lexcorp, who thought they could extract Kryptonian DNA. In 2012, he escaped. he knew nothing of this world. Superman tried to recruit him but he refused.
Zod: Then Batman contacted me.
Huntress: How do you know we can trust him? what if he's a spy? Hell, he could destroy us with a glance.
Batman: Actually, he couldn't. unlike Superman and Powergirl, Zod was not exposed to enough solar radiation for his powers to fully manifest. All he has is strength and the ability to fly. even those powers are not even remotely as powerful as Powergirls or Supermans.
Batman: So, now we've cleared that up, heres the plan.
3 Weeks later
Green lantern: We were too late, there's nothing here
Wonder woman: Kyle's right Kal, This place has probably been deserted for weeks, if not months.
Superman: I don't care how long its been abandoned. They could have left a trace, information, anything. Search the area.
Wonder woman: This is ridiculous Kal. There's nothing here, we are wasting time. Let me track them down. Cyborg picked up some...
Superman: No, no. You take orders from me.
