Jake's mission seemed tough. "Find an abandoned Gold mine?"
"Why?" he asked himself. He stumbled over a rock and caught himself and his breath as he peered down into a natural cave.
He saw something glint in the sun.
"A mine?"
Jake undid his rope and fastened it onto a nearby rock. He lowered himself. He noticed more and more gold.
"Why would anybody ever abandon a rich mine like this?"
A skeleton was lying on the bottom, with a hammer beside it.
"Maybe it wasn't a mine, just a natural cave known by only a few people, and their secret died with them."
His words echoed of the cold, wet rocks, reflecting his loneliness back onto himself.
I know, I may seem late, but MOCpages has this dumb setting that if you share a computer, you have to wait an hour (or more) after another person logs out before you can log back in. My brother entered the contest, so I couldn't log in last night. I did post into the Flickr group in time, though. Anyway, this was a challenging, but fun build to make. I loved seeing how each layer added to the whole aesthetic. Thanks for looking and God bless!
Great job here Soccer Socks! Looks strangely like something I made a couple years back, but infinitely better :) The landscape texturing is really nice and the layering is effective, especially the light gray to dark gray (no idea why I hadn't thought of doing that before...). I like the subtle highlighting that the yellow/gold pieces add. Altogether, a really nice and vibrant build, you've done yet another excellent creation :) Well done and God bless, ~Promar~
