At 4:33 PM, both the Jakeland and Lego Regional Fire Authority Fire Departments were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with an injury and possible pin on the Eric S. McDonald Memorial Expressway. It was unknown exactly where the crash was located, so it took some time for both departments to locate it. Lego Regionals bravest were able to locate the crash in their jurisdiction. They then requested Jakeland Rescue 1 to respond in and assist. One driver was pinned inside his four door sedan from the crash. Both departments were able to quickly put tools in operation and free the driver. MedBrickOne EMS responded to transport the driver to Jakeland University Medical Center with head, neck and chest pain. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the Lego Regional Police Department. All units that operated on scene were,LRFA Battalion 1, LRFA Engine 21, LRFA Rescue 3, JLFD Rescue 1 and MedicBrickOne BLS 101.
