Inferno HQ is moving forward bit by bit. Although we've not officially finished the first floor or even started on the second we do have the first installation for that second floor once it's in place - the Inferno HQ Hoverjet Launch Pad!
About this creation
The launch pad will be housed inside the mountain on the second floor. The rocky exterior of the mountain face will open up allowing the pad to extend out past the face for ease of launching and retrieving the hoverjets.
The hoverjets themselves will be stored vertically on automated transport drones.
While the drones are controlled by an onsite control deck they can be monitored by the pilots locally when needed.
Once the hoverjets have arrived at the launch pad they are removed from the transport drone and placed onto the launch pad's retractable skids by the articulated gantry crane.
Pilots access the jets via an access plank that is raised an lowered by the control deck
The control deck is tied to Inferno HQ's main launch control room but can override operational commands to fit mission requirements.
