LCBTC Round 2: Training Camp...
About this creation
For the Category - well! - Training Camp! XP
Description: Before you can ride a horse into battle with your blade raised into the sunset, you must learn how to wield a sword and stay on the horse. Build a training camp for soldiers, archers, cavalry, or any other medieval military unit of your choice.
Opponent: Anthony Ochoa

Training Camp... For becoming a great Mitgardian Outlaw! - or perhaps better titled, Why you shouldn't bring a lance to a joust with a sneaky Mitgardian outlaw (at least not just a lance!)...

Well, title aside (haha), a quick build here for the second LCBTC, and also to introduce a bunch of outlaws I mean to hopefully go on developing over in the Guilds of Historica. Didn't end up quite as I'd envisioned it, but I'm fairly happy with the result - not nearly my best, but pretty good for the short amount of time I allowed myself for it!

A few other good tips for becoming a great Mitgardian outlaw...

Always carry an extra (concealed, and probably un-allowed) weapon!

Eat (and laugh) - both are way more healthy than you'd think! XP

Make sure there's always an abundance of arms readily available...

Always keep an eye on your gold!

And always cheat, of course!!

A lot of design credits to hand out here, too! The tree on the right is based on Joeri Ridder's great design, that on the left by some of SK's, and the rabbit is definitely inspired by Balbo's great rabbit design (though somewhat modified with the peg instead of the faun's leg - mostly because I'm simply not in possession of one of those, haha!)

And lastly, a figless overview:

Anyhow, thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome! :)

Quoting Lobo ~ This was an interesting one for me, I think you have an edge in terms of technical sophistication, but I like your opponents layout a bit better. I think you have a nice sense of movement here though, and that edges it out for me. You have my vote.
Thank you!
Quoting Hildigrim Took Haha, the guy with the gold has the Leprechaun face! xD
Haha, yes, and believe it or not, that was actually completely a coincidence! XP Thanks!
Quoting Cab ~ You have my vote! I love all the details you've included, like the rabbit and the training dummy.
Thanks mate! The training dummy was definitely based on the one found in NINJAGO's Temple of Airjitzu (though somewhat modified to include arms)! :)
Quoting Classical Bricks Though the build feels a bit messy overall and I think it could have used a few less colors, you have created a great scene with some really cool techniques! Nice minifig posing too. You get my vote!
Thanks! And yes, I do agree that there are a few too many colors/textures here, probably, giving it a bit of a confused feel... the little details were a lot of fun to add, though!
Quoting Rove Random Well done, both of you! These builds both manage to give "army training camp" vibes despite how different they are. My vote goes to Garmadon for his more detailed landscaping.
Thanks!

Quoting gid617 (Kai NRG) #1: I would never have know that that was a rabbit. #2: Now that I know, that's a really great rabbit! XP Neat build anyhow, the trees look really good and your humorous tips on being a Mitgardian outlaw are great!
Hahaha, thanks Kai! XP Yep, that tends to be the way brickbuilt animals usually work - not sure just how good or bad that is, though! ;)
Quoting ST M. I really love the textures on tje ground and the trees, also thats a great rabbit. I also love the posing of the figures, posing figures has always been one of my favorite parts of building.
Thanks mate! And yes, fig posing is definitely a fun part of any build!
Quoting Reese Hawthorne Very nice build! However, I would recommend you not laugh and eat at the same time, as choking is quite a hazard. :P Good luck against your opponent!
Thanks Reese! And you have a good point there, hadn't thought of that, haha!
Quoting Doug Hughes Great build! I love the landscape textures and trees, and the figs and story are hilarious!
Thanks man! Glad you like 'em! :)
