The TFOL Private Club, which used to be one of MOCpages most active groups, has pretty much died, especially now that their founder Flare has resigned from his admin position, being an AFOL now. Also, if you were unaware, LukeClarenceVan The Revanchist resigned from his Admin position there back in November, and he was one of the main reasons that group was as active as it was.
Hi folks, it's Jonathan again, filling in for the one and only James Douglas, who is busy with finals at the moment.
Got some Lego memes here:
James should be back next week!

MOCS OF THE WEEK
Hello all! Today we have this week’s MOTW. Now, as you all know, each week we have different categories, here’s this week’s categories:
Space / Star Wars / Sci Fi
Mecha / Bionicle
So, let’s get to some builds!
#5: Filling our mecha category, we have this awesome first build by Gothams Clown (fitting name, I know), this Mr. Freeze-themed build is extremely cool! (get it?) As mentioned earlier, this is Mr. Clown’s first build here on Pages of Moc, and as of yet it has only received one comment, which is odd for a build this interesting. The greebles and little details in the mech makes it very pleasing to look at and instantly conjures up images similar to the Arkham series video games, as this build would feel right at home in one of these games. So, if you are fan of Batman and mechs, check this out!
#4: Filling our Bionicle section is this awesome model by our very own Daniel H! This build has been up for quiet awhile, but has yet to be featured in our paper, so it’s about time! This awesome build is actually a revamp of a previous build, and, while the prior model is still very cool, this build is so much cooler in every way, the shaping is must more realistic, the new cape is so awesome, not even to mention her new accessories. This build definitely deserves a spot in this list!
#3: Filling our RPG section is this amazingly-written story posted by Werewolff, well known Insurgency contributor and ex-DA2 player. This episode continues his story for the Insurgency, following the movements of his two main characters, Risa and Dustin, plus his villain, Uek, who is an awesome villain if I’ve ever seen one. The builds in this episode are very cool and detailed, made even better when you consider that the Insurgency isn’t very known for it’s stories' sets. I highly suggest you read Werewolff’s creative writing, he is one of the best writers I’ve met on this website.
#2: Filling our technic category is this amazing car built almost entirely out of Lego technic pieces, which, if you’re anything like me, is very, very, hard to do. This model, built by Alain Brunel, is based off the real-life car BMW i8 V-2, and I have to say, this is a very authentic-looking vehicle, instantly recognizable. I always admire technic builders, as they always find ways to create amazing looking models from fairly bulky parts. So, if you enjoy cars, I really suggest you check this creation out.
#1: Now, finally… drum roll please… our number one build! Built by Ben Cossy, this build is extremely cool! Filling our Star Wars category, this creation is filled with so many details and great little additions that you must look very closely in order to spy each and every little thing that Ben has added. This build captures the feeling of Tatooine from the Star Wars films amazingly! Everything from the crumpling sandstone buildings, to the bustling desert streets filled with people, human, or not. Ben Cossy is an amazing builder, and this sure is an amazing build! And this build has definitely gotten the attention it deserves!
Well, that’s about it for this week, hope you enjoyed!

MP NEWS CHARITY CONTEST
Hello readers, we are excited to announce the winner of the MOCpages news 10th issue charity poetry contest! Drum roll please...
Caleb - Vakkron for his poem titled "A Lego Element"!
A thousand bits all blasted into scrap,
stained red like blood, or cloth, or warning lights
heated to four-ninety Kelvin, forced
into imperfect squares. An era ends.
Then pop! From flame is born a hero pure,
its corners sharp and studs in rows of four—
whisked away by metal hands. Retrieved
among the masses, for a purpose new.
Within a box, the tell-tale noise is heard.
A child smiles. The piece has done its job.
This ode to the creation of Lego won us over, plus the reference to a smiling child made us think of the Seattle children's hospital recipients of the sets. So congrats Caleb! We will contact you to determine the set particulars. And the set choice will be posted in next week's issue.
