A brick-built version of C.S. Lewis' Dufflepud (Monopod) from the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Book 3 of the Chronicles of Narnia.
About this creation
I felt I needed to do something more with the Monopod idea than just the little mini-figure duffer. I ended up scrapping my bigger version in favor of this one which is close to the scale of my Tin Soldier. Overall I'm not that disappointed, though the shoe could be better. In the end the Tin Soldier came out cleaner I think, and my Marvin the Martian redo (my other recent digital sculpture) is closer in my mind's eye as to what I was envisioning.
Quoting Jonathan Demers
Pretty good! I agree, I don't think it's quite as good as your other ones.
Sculptural figures are always a challenge for me. Its one of my weaker areas as a builder. (The other notable being non-space vehicles, particularly cars/tanks/trucks.) I excel more at static view, such as buildings, particularly micro-scale but those aren't always as engaging for the viewers.
