Quoting Commander Bricks Great! I always like to see the death star used in an interesting way :)
Thanks Commander! Me too. It looks so much better than the sphere I built with plates. There's actually a group started by David Roberts for builds that use the Death Star parts.

Quoting Marc "Edge" R.unde Amazingly accurate piece of work. How funny that you didn't consider using the sphere pieces earlier, since you used them on your mining freighter... Hehe, well, sometimes the most obvious things just don't come into your mind. The included interior takes the cake for me, making the somewhat simple (but wonderfully elegant) design really stand out! ~Cheers
Thanks Marc. I don't know why I didn't think of the Death Star, must be getting old. The first version of this even the engineering section was built with slopes and curved slopes. The whole thing looked ugly. Then I guess I remembered the Death Star and those round panels for the engineering section. It was much simpler build but so much cleaner and sleeker looking.

Quoting Builder Allan Cool! Nice use of the death star - and of those SC rims on the engine nozzles. And indeed, a nice surprise to see there's an interior hidden in the front dome. Great work :-)
Thanks Allan! It's funny. I kept trying to brick build a sphere, but they kept looking boxy. Then I smacked my forehead when I remembered the Star Wars planet series. Glad you liked the interior. It seemed like a waste not to fill it

Quoting Henrik Jensen Very nice starship, Clayton! I don`t remember seeing this one before, even though I have seen "Interprise". Quite amazing you could do an interior, despite the relatively small size. Great work with the backgrounds too!
Thank you very much Henrik! If you google or bing Daedalus class starship there's a lot written about it. Officially Horizon from "a piece of the action" was a Daedalus class ship. It was fun trying to create an interior for it.

Quoting Scott Bourgeois Great Daedelus Class ship, Clayton! I love all the ships in the fleet, but this and the Oberron have always been in my top fiive. Kudos on the Federation-symbol base/stand. Awesome build!
Thanks Scott! I've always been fascinated by the early ships in Star Trek. I'm glad you liked the stand. It's also correct for this vessels time.

Thanks Sven! It seemed a waste of space inside the sphere so I decided to fill it. It was a lot of fun.

Quoting Marty Fields Great to see this early starship. What did you use for the spherical primary hull?
hey Marty! the Sphere is from lego star wars Planet Series 9676 death star. I used two sides that didn't have the dish on it.
