My exploration of the island of Dale, due south of the mainland, got back on track after I located the final landmark on the map I found earlier. This tree is said to grant special abilities to those who eat its fruit.
"The cobblestone path ends here," I thought to myself. I then noticed what looked like the walls of a city in the distance. After stopping at the tree for a while, I decided to go over to the city walls in hopes of locating civilization.
Thanks for viewing! Constructive criticism appreciated as always.
I've been playing with tree designs a bit, and you might find that a combination of technic parts and hinge pieces will give you a less "flat" look across the boughs. The trunk is too square, and you took some effort to move into using the palisade bricks to accommodate for that, and that's a good start. I'd suggest a bit more tapering of the trunk using 1x2x3 slopes or some snot bricks to create some root structure. The scene below works well though.
For your first attempt it is very well built. One thing though, if you give it more little ledges and foliage it will look more like a real tree. Also if you need (Which I am mostly certain you will not) help then ask google. Or bing. What ever floats your boat. Just type in Lego tree and hit images. Very good build.
