Rig Proposals - 6/16/17
With the first half of the fiscal year coming to a close, I thought that now would be a great time to give you all a sneak preview of the rigs to come in the very near future!
About this creation
Main picture is a 2006 American LaFrance tiller with a 100' LTI HD ladder which will be assigned to Truck 9.

Here you can see the intricate details of the ALF cab, which in my opinion, may be the closest representation of a 6-wide ALF cab. I don't doubt that enlarging the cab to a 7 or even an 8-wide version would be more accurate; however, that is not my area of expertise, and I will leave that to the experts *Cough cough David Hensley, Henry H, and LFM*

Castle Beach Fire Department has been partners with Studdsville Specialty Vehicles for the past year, and we are thrilled to present a brand new apparatus for Urban Search and Rescue. With the rise of accidents requiring heavy lifting, the department has opted to purchase a large 75-ton rotator on a 2017 Kenworth Chassis.

Another new rig will be this 2017 Pierce Arrow XT hazmat tender which will replace Hazmat 1a. The smaller size of the apparatus will make it much easier for the rig to travel in and around the city.

US&R 2 is also set to go into refurbishment as frequent use of the crane quickly wore down the frame work of the apparatus. While maintaining the core components such as the tiller trailer and the Pierce Quantum cab, the crane will be removed, making way for storage for oblong tools and the large, bulky equipment for the RescueVac system.

This rig is a Los Angelego County Fire Department engine company. It is a 2014 Pierce Arrow XT 1500/500/10/40 with the call sign Engine 105.

Lastly, this rig is a 2017 Seagrave Marauder II with a 1974 Baker 75' Aerialscope from the city of Mount Studstown and will have the call sign Truck 22.

Quoting Nick Barrett The ALF is a real thing of beauty. Looking forward to more of that.
Thank you Nick! As I told Sven, the cab design took me a while to get from the conception stage all the way to the rendering. Next up will be the brick built version! Hopefully, all the connections on the cab are solid XD

Quoting Sven ;o) Yes, the ALF cab turned out very well my friend ;) Nicely done. It's a lot of cool stuff going on in your department and there are some really cool proposals. My favs are the ALF and the Marauder II. Especially like the paint scheme of the Marauder II. For wrecker needs, call 1-800-NEEDATOWTRUCK or Jamie Davis, Hope BC, Canada XD
Haha! Thanks Sven! Canada may be a bit far for our service needs XD Anyway, The ALF did take a while to capture. It's amazing what brackets can do! The single-axle Scope is something I've always wanted to do, but I haven't had an opportunity to do so. Thanks again for the wonderful comment!
