This is a new design of LAFD's Heavy Rescue. Design by Steven Asbury.
About this creation
This heavy rescue is used for emergency situations that require lifting, moving, cutting, breaching, dis-assembly, hoisting, excavating, shoring or physically stabilizing. The crews are also trained in structural collapse, high-angle rope rescues, and confined-space rescue.
Here's a photo of the inspiration rig. Built to LAFD specifications, these heavy-duty tow trucks have been a constant part of the LAFD fleet, seeing around-the-clock citywide emergency service.
The back is 7-wide. Yellow clips for wheel chocks.
Ready to respond.
Compartments hold rescue tools and crane accessories.
Excellent rendering of an impressive truck. Guessing that must be an LAFD fireman going home in his Lamborghini. (Wouldn't it be nice if society rewarded first responders the way it does, say, NBA players?)
And another really nice addititon to your fleet my friend. You did a marvelous job on this wrecker. Turned out really nice in every detail. Chrome fits perfect, not too much :) Really like the yellow clips you use for wheel chocks(?) Overall a beautiful rig I really like!
