US&R 2
US&R 2 is ready for action!
About this creation

As part of the Quantum house, US&R 2 is built on a Pierce Quantum!

The doors can open and the steps fold out, just like the real thing!

The body has tremendous space for large and bulky equipment.

The tiller man's cab can be accessed from both sides by the steps.

The rear compartment is used for lumber storage

The top contains space for long tools and the hoses for the Res-Q-Vac system.

Full depth compartments maximize the space on the rig.

US&R 2 can respond to assist neighboring communities!

Station 2 houses some specialized apparatus for technical rescue including the following vehicles from left to right: Heavy Rescue 2, Rescue 2, Urban Search & Rescue 2, and Rescue Platform 2.

The rescue apparatus that serve Castle Beach: (L to R) Rescue 1, Rescue 2, Urban Search & Rescue 2, Reserve Rescue 509.

US&R 2 is a 2017 Pierce Quantum tiller heavy rescue. A rarity in the LFC, US&R 2 is unique in the fact that there is no ladder on the tiller! This allows the rig to carry much more equipment while maintaining a high degree of maneuverability. Some of the special equipment that US&R 2 carries includes a Res-Q-Vac system for trench/collapse rescues, a full complement of Paratech struts and airbags for stabilization and lifting heavy objects, and battery operated Holmatro extraction equipment for use in confined space rescues.
