The Lancia Stratos HF was launched as a homologation special; 500 roadgoing examples were required to allow this bespoke rally weapon to compete in the 1974 Word Rally Championship. Possibly one of the most extreme and certainly one of the most attractive rally cars ever designed, its short wheelbase and mid-mounted Ferrari V6 engine made it a formidable drive.
The Stratos HF or 'High Fidelity' went on to win the 1974, 1975 and 1976 World Rally Championships and continued to be campaigned successfully until 1981. I hope you like my little tribute, as ever better pictures are on Flickr

Wow! You did an excellent job doing this! Well done! The Stratos has always been my favourite car!
Thank you Emmanuel, the Stratos is a great car :-)

What a great looking little car! It looks a little short than the real car, but looks better this way IMO.
Thanks for the feedback Marco, I think any more than 1/2 a stud extra in the wheelbase would make it too long, and the overhangs on the real car are quite short. I agree it is slightly cartoon like, but at this scale you pretty much have to caricature sometimes anyway :-)

Beautiful work, you`re a true master with these small SC supercars!
Thank you Henrik, really glad you like this series of builds! I'm planning something bigger and older soon :-)

Excellent! With the new Sc parts there are so many new possibilities for 6-wide and 7-wide cars. Greta job! :-))
Thank you Nils, I have to say I'm a little addicted to the SC theme at the moment :-)
