Out of the Frying-Pan into the Fire...
Welcome! This is my own build of Out of the Frying-Pan into the Fire! By Roanoke Handybuck! :D
About this creation
Hello! This is my sixth of 19 posts I will be doing, where I will be building my way through the Hobbit story, one chapter per post, I will do this over the course of the year...

This is also my first CCCXV entry! It will be in the diplomatic mission category!

So, about the build. This one is at maximum 32 x 57 x 41, but the rockwork narrows down to 20 x 28 at the bottom. I estimate it is around 3500 pieces, and it weighs around 12 pounds! The landscape is kind of unusual for me, and it is a dark green and olive green. While most of it is just SNOT, and some SNOTed off of SNOT, there are a few angles pieces in there, which I am happy with. :P Enjoy! :D

Pics:

So, for the CCC I am limited to 5 pics, so that is all I can post. There is also a required picture with a white background, but white looked terrible, so I went with a slightly lighter grey:

Overall, I am pretty happy with this build. Even though it took a quarter of my building time in the CCC, I think it is worth it for spending that amount of time on it. It is the most rockwork I have done in one build yet, and I like it, the Christmas BL order turned out useful! :D Also, I will be going for 7 entries this year, so be looking out for the rest! :D

C&C Appreciated!

I hope you enjoyed!

To God be the glory!

Noice. Mr. Roanoke, you've done it again... Altogether, quite a phenomenal job, definitely rates high on the massive scale. Really impressed by the shaping of the rockwork (you've already got the nitpicks for that, so I won't bother). One element that might have been cool to incorporate would be some kind of visible tree root system, I think that that would appease the "blank wall sayers" and add a bit more visual interest on the cliff face. But honestly, you've really blown me away with this creation, it's excellent :) God bless and have a fantastic Thanksgiving! ~Promar~

Brilliantly done. However, as good as the rock work is, it suffers a bit from big grey wall syndrome. It needs levels or vines or something. The trees are lovely though.

Really nice work. The rockwork and landscape are both great. My only criticism would be to blend the two parts together more smoothly. Other than that great job! =)
