This is the 1980 Chevrolet Corvette. Not the most powerful of Corvettes, but certainly iconic, as well as the longest single generation produced. I designed this first in STUDio to test some ideas. This is an instant favorite of mine. Please enjoy!
The long hood was something I really wanted to get right too.
One thing I always liked about this generation is the way the hood looks, and especially with the fenders.
The front bumper was a little difficult, but that round plate helps fill that area.
An auto's profile is very important to me.
Red, white, and yellow are my favorite Corvette colours, so it was really difficult to choose which to do! In the end, I simply had more red.
I decided against using trans tiles for taillights on this model. I felt the hollow studs were a better fit for this car.
After getting a car's side profile down, I go to other details, like in this instance, the Corvette's stance.
