WZ-120-1G FT
After a long break I am back just in time to end out the year...
About this creation

This tank is a fake, just like the 59-Patton... The only type of real info comes from what China gave Wargaming which is:

Variant of a tank destroyer based on the Type 59 medium tank (plant designation WZ-120) that entered service in 1959. Existed only in blueprints.

Hull: WZ-120-1G FT
- Armor: (Front/Side/Rear) (120mm/80mm/45mm)
- Hp/T ratio: 16.11 Hp/T
- Viewrange: 380 meters

Suspension: WZ-120-1G FT
- Traverse: 42 D/Sec
- Load Limit: 39 tons

Gun: 122mm 60-122TG FT A
- Damage: (AP/HEAT/HE) (440/440/530)
- Penetration: (AP/HEAT/HE) (248mm/310mm/61mm)
- Aim time: 2.9 seconds
- Accuracy: 0.37 meters dispersion every 100 meters
- Elevation: 15 degrees
- Depression: 6 degrees
- Traverse: 10 degrees left and right

Engine: 12150L7G
- Horse Power: 580
- Fire Chance: 12% upon hit
- Weight: 935k

Radio: A-220
- Range: 600 meters
- Weight: 40k

Model Feature:

- Has the same Hull features as the T-55, except for no drivers hatch.
- Elevating/Depressing main gun
- Elevating/swiveling DShK Machine Gun

I did something a bit different with this one, instead of just "Winging" the armor sloping, I actually tried to match the angles this time on the super structure:

60 degrees front
25 degrees side
15 degrees rear

As such, even though at the seams there may be a bit of a gap in places, the angling of the slopes is correct.

I also experimented with doing renders for all my typical angles... Took about 30 minutes for the 5 pictures, I may start redoing the renders for my other builds over the holidays...

If you play World of Tanks and have/enjoy the SU-122-44, I highly recommend picking up one of these. You have the same HE round, aim time, track traverse (turn speed), and terrain resistance, and 240 less damage per minute. However you gain better overall mobility due to better engine, a much better gun that can both brawl and snipe if needed with decent accuracy, good pen, and great damage, much better viewrange, a better camo rating, and better hull armor. Basically it is a SU-122-44 that instead of being stuck in 2013 meta is reborn for current 2017/18 meta... Plus it prints credits better because it is a tier 8 premium. 10/10 do not regret my purchase...

Wow, two builds made the homepage at the same time, Awesome guys, thanks!

Quoting Digital Dreams Fine looking tank. And good to see some excellent renders, is that POV-Ray or BlueRender? Oh, and render times measured in minutes is nothing at all. Just finished my latest model renders, each of which took between 1 and 17 hours!
It's a licensed version of POV-Ray included in the Stud.io software. I build in LDD, and import it into Stud.io strictly for rendering purposes. You don't even need to save the file in Stud.io, just the picture you make. Granted it's not as high quality as the real POV-Ray software, but it's a big step from LDD renders which is all I need.

Quoting Johan van der Pluijm I have a SU-122-44... You are saying this one is better? what tier is this WZ? I did also have the WZ 120, which i really loved
The WZ-120-1G FT is tier 8, and yes, tier for tier it is a much better TD for the type of play style that the SU-122-44 is (I also have an SU-122-44). If you like the SU, after some minor adjustment I have no doubt you'd love the WZ-120-1G FT. It just irons out all the annoying kinks that holds the SU-122-44 back from being great.
