The detachable bridge ship of the Andromeda-class Assault Dreadnought.
About this creation
I cannot express in words my excitement to have this crucial part done. The Andromeda-class Assault Dreadnought was one of the largest ships of it's time, approximately 2700 meters. It had three bridges, though only two were clearly visible on the top of the ship. These were the Fleet and Starfighter Control Bridges.

Both were detachable, and save for their turrets that could become escape pods, the Andromeda-class Bridge Ship held no escape pods. The reason was because the ship itself was the escape pod as it could detach from the ship. However it did have a Admiral's yacht underneath that could be used for escape.

Andromeda-class Assault Dreadnought on the Atalia Galaxy wiki. It's rather lacking as of January 2018, but in time it should contain more detailed information.

The engines were great at acceleration but required more fuel than the main ship's primary engines. This was because the Bridge Ship was designed for escape if the primary vessel was damaged or compromised. Some Fleet Admirals used this feature in upgraded models to increase the number of ships in a fight. The stock Dreadnoughts, however, required tugs and robotic assistance to reattach the bridge to the vessel.

I do believe this is 2.5 meters per stud scale... I'll have to pull out some well buried paperwork to really determine the scale. It's less than 4, but definitely not 2 meters. It might be 3 but I hate working in 3s.

Awesome ship! I like the teardrop shape of the hull, and the placement of the engines. I love how you made the turrets. Magnificent work!

I measured the original 3d model I made of this ship and then divided the number of studs by how long it's suppose to be, approximately 138 meters... It equals 3.... So the scale is 1 stud : 3 meters.
