THE PHOENIX
G-Force!
About this creation

This is the ship from the 1972 Japanese show Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. In 1978 the show was repackaged and released in North America as Battle Of The Planets, which I watched as a boy.

The underside...

A simple stand to allow for display at an interesting, compound angle.

The Phoenix was a real triple threat!
It was an Aircraft, Spacecraft and a Submarine!
It also was capable of a mode called "The Fiery Phoenix" but that would surely vaporize ABS...

Dimensions: Length 42 studs, Wingspan 41 studs.

This is a MOC (My Own Creation).
There are no instructions.

If you like it, please rate it.
Thanks!

I loved this show, and found out only as an adult how severe the repackage was. Gatchaman had much more adult themes and I'd love to see a remake, or at least released with English language recorded for it

Ohhh...yes. Another favourite of my youth that I have never dared to attempt in Lego. You've nailed it, brilliant job! Now can you do the rest of the G-force auxiliary vehicles? :-)

Very nice rendition! The (God) Phoenix is one I've wanted to tackle for a long time too. Now I feel inspired to try it.

Very nice, The color selection makes it look pretty toy-like, but it looks really cool!

another great moc, just outstanding, maybe you will be inspired to moc the smaller vehicles, I remember it was A car, a plane a motorbike and I'm not sure what keyop<spelling?> was using. It was almost 40 years ago for me. Your stuff is just great, not asking or saying you should but if you ever decide to sell instructions to this and-or the Defiant please let me know! If not I understand!

Genius dude! Battle of the Planets was so tame compared to the Gatchaman series, toned down for our Amuricanized sensibilities. Still great, except for Keyop, haven't really quite figured that insanity out just yet. This is perfect, I can see it transforming into Fiery Phoenix and the team going into whirlwind pyramid to defeat Zoltar. Awesome!

7-Zark-7 would no doubt approve from Center Neptune. The only thing missing are the crews personal vehicles, but that would be impossible at this scale. It’s instsntly recognizable, great work.

Mr. D. If this model is any indication of your skill in general building, I hope you will consider my invitation to check out a MOC based game we are starting in a few weeks. You can find the game by searching for "DA3 Ready Room" here on MOCpages. While we have a good number of veteran players, we are still searching for new talent. It is obvious that you possess such talent, and if you were to check the group out, you would be most welcome. I hope your time and interest are sufficient to entertain the notion. Nice ship by the way. Unmistakable next to the source, and very well photographed. I hope to see you in the Ready Room.
