Inspired by this one guy's design of the Eta-5, I give you the Eta-3. While his version of the Eta-5 failed to recognize the basic description given in the books (profile of an A-wing), I thought it still made a clever version of the Eta-line considering it's design similarities to the TIE craft. So perhaps during the age of TIEs the Eta-3 was given a more TIE look like that, thus this Eta-3.
Like with my TIE fighter line, this is completely modular, and can be combined with the other TIE craft to make some interesting combinations.
This one happens to be colored in my colors. The fighter was also adopted by the Republic Remnant before they established making their own unique fighter craft. Shadow versions of real companies would manufacture upgraded versions of Republic craft for the then Shadow Republic until shortly after the Empire came into being. They did take some design aspects from the New Republic when the New Republic was formed, but by then they had gotten use to making their own stuff and stopped doing direct design copies of these crafts.
