Y-Wing V2
Modified Y-Wing Set 7658
About this creation
Until Set 8037 came out, I held this up as the unmodified, Pre-Rebel ship. The aforementioned set is fantastic as far as LEGO goes. This is just a little update to ancient photos.

Quoting Mandalore The Ultimate Nice refurbish to the "original".
I tried. Like I said in the description; this thing was ugly as sin to me until I saw the "new" version.

Quoting Nathan M Great looking Y-wing! Very cool. I like the grey tones on the cockpit area!
I thought it might be fun to make this one better and not to many people build a "new" one. I miss this guy... :(

Awesome creation, I definitely like this better than LEGO's version. But I am kinda a sucker for battle-scarred models, but either way, excellent job.

Hey, I got your E-mail. The Malevolence is a droid battleship from the clone wars series. Anakin Skywalker lead a squad of Y-wings to attack the malevolence and they end up nearly destroying it by overloading it's ion cannon.

Looks like it's from shadow squadron that destroyed the Malevolence. You just have to solidify the rear engines.

The top looks good, and a good use of slopes and tiles. Although the bottom is in stark contrast with the smoothness of the top.

I like this ship a lot much better than the other one. Like my ships, the best thing is that it is studless. so, making it more real like it could fly away. Ive got another one up so go have a peek. Its not quite finished yet tho. As always, keep up the good work and let me know when you post another ship or what-not. Lee

Personally,I love all the greebling on the official one, but you did a good job, although it never shows them with plates in the movies...cool work, though.
