Quoting Marc "Edge" R.unde Have you ever spent a thought on the retractable pods? *causing headache*
I did, way back when I was building the first one. Too much weight for the arms, and not enough arm depth. It still crosses my mind from time to time.

I`m not a huge space theme fan, but the magnitude of this build is really impressive, and I`m sure the design of the curved shapes of the outer didn`t come easy, Excellent work!

Quoting Parrington Levens "How, why, it doesn't matter. All you need to know is as of now, we're at war...' Or to that effect. Nice work dude! If only the show lasted as long as your ongoing BSG Mocs!
Great quote! Yeah, I wish. If only SyFy were interested in spending money on quality productions, unlike Sharktopous vs Croctospider or whatever, like I said to Marc over on Flickr. Sad.

Quoting Tom Remy This is truly amazing! I can't think of a better way to render the "old girl"... I'm also amazed at how you don't get tired of building Battlestars :D How many studs long?
140, give or take. I actually used the spec sheet from deviant art and did the math to get all the dimensions as accurate as possible. Nope, don't get tired of it. But I'm not sure what I would do next other than bigger. Problem there is like Gibbs' boats on NCIS, how would I get it out of the basement?

I think they were tired of spending so much time in the head. And changing the air filters... Thanks Chef!

Quoting Clayton Marchetti Wow! She’s a lot bigger than she looks. I love all those curved slopes and robust interior structure. A real masterpiece!
Thanks, Dude! Yeah, the structure was quite rigid, considering the length. Did I just write that? Anyway, that's how I test it, from the middle, no creaking or bending. Technic bricks separated by two plates, then cross connected. I don't plan on taking it apart, so I don't have to worry about it ; )

Quoting P. Andrei Still not familiar with the source, but that's one massive beastie.
Thanks! If it weren't getting shipped to Brickworld, probably wouldn't have such a heavy internal structure. Source: https://boygeniusreport.files.wordpress.com/2014/04/battlestar-galactica.jpg?quality=98&strip=all&w=782

Yeah, curved slopes and mixel joints, who knew! Plus finding those side-stud bricks at the LEGO store. Three cups worth, I think... Thanks!

Quoting matt rowntRee Nice! Been working on a similar solution to a certain ship as well. Can't wait to see this at BW!
Me, too! Yeah, the mixel joints open up all sorts of possibilities. Not that different from the instrument table on my dental chair. The joints move in all directions, but they stay put.
