There she is, the Architecture Statue of Liberty in it's beauty. Okay, the face is a bit odd but apart from that I really love the design of the set. Had much fun building it. I changed some details at the base, especially the upper platform and added lights. Really hope you like it.
Good morning Jimmie my brother ;) It's absloutely not necessary to aplogize for being late with the comment. It is like it is and your health is way more important than being on time with a comment on something you can do whenever there is time for. Thank you very much for your lovely comment here. As always I highly appreciate every single word. I'm glad you like the lights I added. First I thought that it's too dark but it looks great on the pics. Btw, no pic is edited.
We wish Jill all the best for her last day as a Teacher and all the best for the future. Her new career sounds really interesting and we hope that she will be successful. Good luck Jill! Thanks a lot for the lovely wishes, we hope you and Jill have a safe and happy week too. Take care and stay safe. Much love, hugs and greets back to both of you in NC from us ;)
Well my brother it was so wonderful to read your lovely E-mail back to me this afternoon. Sorry this comment is later than when I said I would do it. Dinner plus exhaustion leads to sleep and I passed out after I ate. Now I am semi awake and can comment on this wonderful addition to the greatest Lego NYC ever created. I am soooo happy you finally got this great model of the Lady with the Lamp. your mods and lighting really kick up the realism of this great model. Yes the face is odd but I think at this scale it is the best solution . Brilliant work once again my brother. I hope you and Julia have a safe and happy rest of the week. Much love, hugs and greets from Jill and I in NC. BOAJDTAP my friend. BTW today Jill retires from teaching, today is her last day with the NC public school system. In August her classes begin for her new career as a Veteranary Tech. It will only take 2 years and she will have a new career.
Yeah a harbor would be a really cool addition. But don't have any space left to add more stuff to my city. Really need a own Lego room. So maybe some time in the future such a project could be possible.
Hehe, had no other chance. My idea was following: A stud in the center of the shield for adding a cheese wedge (so that it has a nose at least, some kind of profile) would be cool. Really was thinking about stick one on. XD Thank you very much for your very nice comment my friend and yes you're right. There were not much possibilities to add a face.
You were wise to leave the face alone - attempts to give it features all seem to end up looking cartoonish. TLG made the right call to leave it blank. It's a beautiful set, made better by it's surroundings here.
