This project started with the intent to create a professional, super detailed and high quality model of the AAT from the clone wars era, with near perfect movie accuracy and a balanced sturdy design.
I designed this model digitally using Bricklink's Stud.io 2.0 software, and eventually built it with real LEGO parts to make sure everything was working properly.
The AAT model in EA Star Wars Battlefront 2 game was used as perfect reference as it can be viewed from any angle.
This is the first entry in a new series of MOCs of my design.
The next entries will be following this same high quality design approach.
So here are the features of the MOC:
Two Designs in one. Tan version, and Clone Wars edition Blue and gray
850 parts for Tan version. 853 parts for clone wars version
Lego parts price is roughly 160-170 USD.
Main turret spins 360 degrees and gun barrel can pivot. Fully openable top hatch, and room
for a folded up Commander Battle Droid, with the hatch closed.
Openable front hatch section, with room for a Pilot Battle Droid (driver)
Can carry two Infantry Battle Droids on each side.
Two versions of the torpedo tube section (Stud-shooter plates can be added)
The digital file can be purchased for 10 Euro.
Just send me a request at: firstname.lastname@example.org
To use the file you will need to download Stud.io 2.0 software from Bricklink.
From there you can upload a wanted list to your Bricklink account, and buy all the parts needed, then assemble it using the 3D model as guidance.
