semi submersible drilling/oil rig
semi sub oil rig/platform minifig scale 10ft x 6ft.building in sections to make it easier to work with.each pontoon is in 5 sections, being able to display as a whole or waterline model.hardest part is putting all the sections together hoping the pieces will hold together with the weight and not falling apart.no steel/wood inside to hold it together.the plan is to have LEDs lighting everything up plus cranes etc fully remote control so it will be a long project eating up a lot of bricks.
About this creation

8 modules built into the pontoons to house the 8 telescopic azimuth thrusters 4 in each pontoon

Wow! What a colossal project. Is there enough Lego in the world for something this big? Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing the final result.

Quoting Nick Barrett I love your ambition. Nothing's impossible. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to you to.havent seen one built in this scale so hopefully its a first.you don't realise how big it is until you start putting the sections together.keeping it from falling apart under its own weight will be challenging.no glue or steel supports hidden inside (not yet anyway)

Quoting Henrik Jensen Hi Jim and Happy New Year to you and the Fiancee. So you`ve thrown yourself into another Leviathan project :-), 10ft x 6ft that`s enormous Jim!!! But it looks like you already have come a long way in the building process. Did you abandon the semi submersible heavy lift ship to go for this one instead? Any way, it`s an amazing project and I`m looking forward to see how it progresses!
Happy New Year Henrik been planning this for a good while now just the space needed to build something this size and in sections for moving it.the semi sub ship is stacked up in the background as I wasn't happy with some of the hull fitting together, need to come up with a better idea.as I have dismantled all my ships I have a few pieces LOL to play with.and a lot of recent bricklink orders.rebuilt this about 5 times now as it was even bigger and higher when I started it.

Quoting Shadowfax Of Rohan Nice work on the design! My only complaint is the amount of non-Lego pieces.
as you can imagine trying to buy pure lego pieces in one colour is difficult and very expensive and I literally have tens of thousands of these lying about,

Quoting A QIEA QIEA I can see the exact amount of work and effort to build this huge model... its very nice work on big models
Yes they take a big amount of pieces but its more work making it stand on its own with no supports, you will know with your massive beautiful planes
