The S U C C car
About this creation
The Chaparral 2J was one of the first cars to experiment with ground effect. It utilized 2 large fans powered by snowmobile engines to suck it to the ground. It was often faster than the competition by 2+ seconds a lap during qualifying runs but reliability issues plagued the car during long races.

This is the best I could think of for the fans at such a small scale.

Great little gem! I'm a fan of Chaparral cars, and in such a tiny scale this 2J is perfectly achieved. Congrats on an excellent job!

The 'fan car'. Unmistakable! That livery with the grey parts looks just right.

Quoting Luuk S Well done and very recognizable. I remember reading that the car was banned too because the aerodynamics should be passive rather than (very) active.
Yes it is rather unfortunate that it got banned. The other teams also said that the car allegedly flicked stones at their drivers when following behind it.

Quoting Paul Bellomo Ah yes, "The Box That it Came In" as competitors called it back in the day. You did a good job to replicate in such a small scale. I'm curious how you were able to still have rear wheels with a solid brick cover on each side, because when I eyeballed it I couldn't figure it out myself...
Thanks, I used part #4600 to hold the back wheels and part #4624 without tires.
