Air Tractor AT-802 Agricultural Aircraft Crop duster version 1.0
About this creation
This is a work in progress/version 1.0 of a Texas Air Tractor AT 802. This is a minfigure scaled (1 stud=1 foot) Agricultural version of an aircraft used mainly for crop dusting. Not all design challenges are met with with version 1.0... The version 1.0 has a 3 blade propeller when the final version must be a 5 blade propeller. The engine exhaust ports are missing a special bending tube part I haven't purchased yet. The real world angled cockpit and the angled landing gear design have not been realized in version 1.0 and I have yet to finalize my design The real world version of the aircraft have top and bottom stabilizer on the tail which are missing in version 1.0.
Below is a blue print for the aircraft I used for its basic dimensions
This model was initially created at the request of Michael Emory Cichonsky- founder of the Facebook group - Lego Air Command Group on December 15 2018. The final version of 1.0 will have pontoon/float options for a fire fighting version of this aircraft. While there are military version of this aircraft - I don't have enough information on the military prototype version to attempt making it
Version 2 of this model was modified so it could have a Fire Protection Seaplane Mission option called the *Fire Boss* - designated as the Texas Air Tractor 802 F. Because it form and play function is different from a crop duster it has its own webpage at
Awesome work here, Walter! I'm a big fan of this scale of aircraft (although I'm not all that good at building them out of Lego). Nice color scheme and shaping to get it really aerodynamic-looking. God bless and keep right on brickin'! ~Promar~
